I just discovered Tim HAD a page on Wikipedia.  It was deleted after some debate.

Here's a screen shot of the argument as of this post.

The decision was thus:

"Delete The article isn't about him, it's about his action. It was a very minor, not-notable event. TJ Spyke 02:43, 29 December 2008 (UTC)"

The standard of "not-notable" is of course highly subjective and reflects some of the more troubling aspects of a semi-democratic process by only those who "show up".  I believe the Founding Fathers referred to this as "Tyranny of the Minority"

I wonder how many more articles and interviews are required before Mr. Bisanz5 will allow this page.

I'm actually getting a little tired of the killjoy attitude of some people on Wikipedia. Maybe we should try again if and when Tim is charged with a crime as a result of his IMHO notable act of civil disobedience.

You noticed that too? We should try again.

Absolutely - and time will be the determiner of whether or not his action was a 'very minor not-notable event'. Not to deify Tim, but I'm quite sure that Gandhi's earlier actions were called insignificant to the British Empire. Except now, we're talking about the survival of our species. Yes, let's keep trying!

alright, so it's been more than two years since this happened - has anyone tried recently to get a Wiki page up for Tim? Because he really should have one, especially now with his sentence and with everything that's happened to him in the last two years.

Matthew Bisanz is the Wiki editor who removed Tim's page on wikipedia. Here's his Google + bio: https://plus.google.com/105393517472776044476#105393517472776044476/about and his email address: mb-profile@mattb.info. An excerpt from his Google+ profile: In 2010 he was selected for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and the ADR division of the Barristers' Council. He currently serves as an administrator and bureaucrat of Wikipedia and as a member of the audit committee of the Wikimedia Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the Selective Service System's local board for Poughkeepsie.

It's back, but still under some Wikipedia "bureaucrat" scrutiny... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tim_DeChristopher
